Busy Bee, Busy Being (Sounds deep, right?)

Let me explain--no there is too much, let me sum up:
Okay, in August I moved into a new apartment. Just one quiet roommate, who doesn't have wild parties, stumble home drunk at 3 in the morning, or smoke illegal substances. Yes! That's much better! She's like me, a little too like me, we barely speak, but I'm cool with that. However, she doesn't use the air conditioning. I understand, she doesn't want to pay an extra 50 bucks every month, but this summer was HOT and it was not fun, but I don't exactly have the money either so I didn't argue.

It's taking me a while to get into the flow of this semester, but I have several projects/papers/tests coming up so I gotta get going. I think part of it is that I'm taking an online class that was the teacher's first class she taught online, so there were a lot of issues for the first few weeks that needed to be worked out. And my sister's boyfriend is in my Latin class, which is kind of fun but also a bit distracting because he'll make an amusing comment to me when I'm trying to listen to the teacher. Just little things to vent, really, mostly everything's pretty good.

I have no show to watch obsessively right now. I'm not sure if I should try to find one or not because sometimes it gets in the way of schoolwork when every break I take ends up being 45 minutes so I can watch another episode (but the love between Merlin and Arthur is so much more important than school--even the dragon thinks they should get together). Recently, I caught up with Criminal Minds (I may have a "slight" crush on Dr. Reid--he's a nerd god!) but now I have to wait a week for the next episode. I wonder if I should watch the Doctor Who or Torchwood eps I've missed, which is the first 2 seasons of the newer Who series and almost all of Torchwood. These are very important things to think about.

I finished a short-story-that-is-probably-now-long-enough-to-be-a-novella-or-novel just before school started. It was a lot of fun but now I need to edit it before I let anyone look at it. I don't have time to edit it right now, but I'd love to do something with it, though it does feature some explicit gay sex scenes. In order to publish it, I might need to remove those and have a cutaway to the curtains blowing instead of showing the boys blowing--well, you know. Of course, I probably won't have much luck anyway since GLBT romances are hard to publish, though there may be hope:

Oh, I just found out about this writer's workshop in Italy, called Sirenland, [link] I would love to go, stay at a luxury hotel in Italy, listening to professional writers discussing writing and how to get published, but I don't have the money. Perhaps one day.

Well, I've got a Latin test on Tuesday, better get studying. Valete!

Yeah, that's sounds fun! Are you on break yet? ODU started late this year so it's ending late too--this week is exam week, but luckily I'm done with all of mine except for a take-home exam that I can turn in online, so I get to go home tomorrow.

My brother and maybe a friend of my sister's are thinking about going to the midnight showing, too. They're going to buy their own tickets but I thought I should give you a head's up that they might tag along.

Sweet, I will give your sis directions to my house later. Be perpared to diffend our fandom age to the horde of 13 year old fans asking "aren't you too old for this?" Goddamn it, we are closer to Harry's age them they are! He would be like 28!
